Join a dynamic HMO team, where you will play a crucial role as an Income Recovery Officer, reporting directly to the Director of HMO & Social Housing. As part of a tight-knit team including two Property Managers and experts in property acquisition, they'll collaborate closely with other departments to ensure timely rent collection and prevent substantial rental debts. This opportunity isn't just about numbers; it's about making a real impact in the community by upholding ethical standards and ensuring financial stability for all.

  • Collect rents and charges from tenants in accordance with lease agreements, ensuring timely payments.
  • Analyse arrears reports and escalate serious issues promptly to management.
  • Keep accurate records of all communication and actions regarding tenant accounts.
  • Address tenant queries and provide requested invoices promptly.
  • Respond to all incoming communications within 2 working days.
  • Identify late payers and escalate as needed, following debt recovery procedures.
  • Reconcile tenant ledgers and issue final letters as necessary.
  • Prepare documentation for enforcement agents/solicitors as requested.
  • Attend arrears meetings with property managers and clients.
  • Previous experience in credit control, preferably in social housing income recovery.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure while managing competing demands.
  • Flexible and proactive approach, able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Proficient in IT applications for digital communication.
