Building Surveyor – Kent - London & South East – £41,000 - £45,000 + £1,300 Car Allowance - Perm

 

We have an amazing, new opportunity as a Building Surveyor working with a large, forward thinking, market leading organisation. The organisation who, manage homes across London and the Southeast, are looking for a skilled building surveyor to be a part of the Direct Maintenance team acting on complaints regarding building repairs. The organisation are very customer and quality focussed, endeavouring to develop their workforce and offer fantastic progression routes.

 

The successful Building Surveyor will manage a range of disrepairs and complex complaint cases. Working closely with the legal teams to successfully resolve cases. In addition to this they are looking for a Building Surveyor who has a wide range of skills within the commercial aspects and project management.

 

Building Surveyor responsibilities include:

Carrying out condition surveys on residential properties

Ensuring the quality of work is upheld and liaising with contractors on repairs

Ensuring delivery of the objectives by working closely with internal teams specifically Housing Services, Direct Maintenance, Technical Services Teams, Legal and Development.

Preparing detailed specifications for tender purposes, evaluating and project management responsibilities

Managing a budget and providing cost effective solutions

Maintaining relevant records of reports encompassing service delivery standards

 

The successful candidate will possess:

HNC in Building Services/Surveying or equivalent

Excellent building surveying skills, relation to building defects, construction forms and fire protection

Understanding of contract law and housing law

Strong customer focus and utilisation of customer service skills

The ability to analyse, interpret and deliver detailed information including report writing skills 

 

In return, the successful candidate will receive a salary of £41,000 - £45,000 + £1,300 Car Allowance including a great package
